June 12th Oxford Summer School, Practicology and Fujitsu partner to deliver programme to retailers who want to develop their digital knowledge and careers

Oxford Summer School (OSS) has partnered with digital consultancy Practicology and solutions provider Fujitsu to deliver Digital Influence – Transforming Retail, a two-day training programme taking place in September 2017 in London.

Technology and customer expectations are moving so fast it is hard for retailers to keep up. As customer behaviour changes, so must the skills and knowledge required to compete. The course aims to equip retailers with the tools required to succeed on that journey through immersive training that will include:

  • Key speakers covering real life situations and solutions to digital challenges faced by all retailers;
  • Five interactive learning sessions on key issues effecting digital retailing; from the importance of content, to the customer journey, to best practice online trading;
  • A comprehensive case study and group activities.

Digital Influence - Transforming Retail will take place on the 27-28 September 2017, and is designed for delegates working in head office retail roles, at manager level or above.

Neil Moss, Director of the Oxford Summer School commented: “We work closely with some of the largest retailers in the UK through our management development programmes and a key issue for retailers is the impact of rapidly changing consumer behaviour driving the need for digital transformation in their business. Companies and their people need the knowledge and understanding of the changes demanded by the consumer and the new digital environment for retail.”

Practicology Principal Consultant Antony Welfare added: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Oxford Summer School to create a digital-focused course. Practicology’s consultants have all worked in retail head office roles, and have been in the shoes of delegates attending this programme. We focus on providing practical support to all of our retail clients, and so the course content has been designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and confidence to immediately make a difference to the performance of their digital businesses.”

“We are pleased to host a second Oxford Summer School digital workshop, supported by Practicology at our London office. Supporting retailers with their digital transformation is highly relevant to us at Fujitsu – our recent research showed 52% of respondents said their organisation will not exist in its current form in five years’ time and 92% told us their business must evolve to thrive in a digital world. By looking at the challenges facing retailers at this workshop, will provide attendees with the knowledge and next digital steps to take when looking closer at their businesses,” said Rupal Karia, Retail and Hospitality Managing Director, Fujitsu UKI.For more information and to book places on Digital Influence - Transforming Retail contact Neil Moss on neil@oxfordsummerschool.co.uk call 0121 446 6688 or visit: www.oxfordsummerschool.co.uk/specialist-programmes
