I heard about the Masters scholarship through our L&D department and immediately put myself forward. It was an easy and user friendly process.
The most important lesson I took from the week was the need to change and adapt. There is no sure fire way to be a successful retailer and like our businesses, our customers have many intricacies, so no one rule fits all. Since the Masters I have looked at our retail strategy and tweaked areas ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything we do.I wanted to understand the future of retail and the need to adapt and change to our customers needs and demands. It exceeded my expectations in all areas. I loved and learnt so much from the inspirational speakers, their stories and their learns to success along the way.
Applying for a scholarship is a priceless opportunity to really take time out and think strategically about your business and most importantly your customer! This Masters course will add value to any business and any individual. It was an extremely thought provoking, enlightening and has made a difference to myself, my team, my business and most of all my customer.
The programme was well delivered from the OSS team, who from day one made us all feel extremely welcomed and also encouraged a great open learning environment . A fantastic opportunity I’d advise any retailer, big or small, to take!
