With roots in catalogue retailing, financial services and telecoms, Mike’s career has always centred around the customer. Mike will give us his unique perspective on digital transformation experiences with both Vodafone and B&Q with specific reference to B&Q’s digital transformation journey. An eloquent speaker and contributor to the retail community, Mike will walk delegates through the delicate balance of customer-centrered large-scale digital change programmes.

James became owner and CEO of Springwise.com, the global online discovery engine, in 2014. Prior to Springwise, James worked for 20 years in businesses where change and innovation were mission critical. Notably, he served as Marketing Director, Selfridges during the turnaround, CEO Visit London in the lead up to the Olympics and CEO Anthropologie, Europe spearheading the launch. James has also played pivotal roles at Disneyland Paris, eToys and Sega as well as leading the turnarounds at Cass Art and EasyArt.

Sophie Devonshire

CEO, The Caffine Partnership

Sophie is an experienced business leader, entrepreneur and brand specialist. She has worked successfully with a number of global companies, both aAssetAltTexts aclient + also consultancy/agency side as well as setting up, managing and selling her own business. Her areas of expertise is in positioning brands in a differentiated and compelling way. She specialises in helping reposition brands based on key customer insights & in driving support for the brand work amongst companies and stakeholders. 

Sophie's client side and retail experience brings a commercial sensibility to her work. She started her career in brand management client-side at Procter & Gamble before joining Coca-Coca to work on Lilt, Dr Pepper and Sprite. She then joined the world of brand strategy consultancy for Interbrand London, working on projects including Nestle and Orange. Sophie then moved to Dubai where she joined Leo Burnett as Group Account Director working with local and international brands in the Middle East. Returning to the UK, she built and sold an e-commerce business and then went on to help transform a luxury gifts brand as CEO; all practical experience which helps ensure a grounded reality to her approach.
