Masters 2017: Leading in the changing retail landscape

Published by on Wednesday, 02 Nov 2016

Masters 2017 will soon be with us and, in our twelfth year, it continues to provide an exciting, challenging and dynamic learning experience for senior retailers.

The Masters addresses not only the current topical issues together with practical solutions, but also provides a ‘crystal ball’ to view future trends in retailing, enabling retailers across the sector to make the right commercial and leadership decisions for their business.

As ever, we have a breadth of experts who will share their extensive leadership experience and practical thinking, including:

  • Jill McDonald: Chief Executive, Halfords
  • Steve Finlan: Chief Commercial Officer, Clarks
  • Sohail Shaikh: International Director, Retail Mothercare
  • Kate Hardcastle: Retail and Commercial Expert
  • Danny Barrasso: Managing Director UK and Ireland, New Look

The programme will give participants a fantastic insight into the retail future with leading research from Dr Jonathan Reynolds and Dr Alan Treadgold as well as access to the most up-to-date retail research from across the globe at the Said Business School, Oxford.

Our approach doesn’t just focus on understanding the future but also provides participants with practical skills and techniques for the present. Masters 2017 will provide the latest thinking on and address the issues that matter most in the customer journey and outline emerging trends in International markets. We will also look at the latest technological advancements and innovations across the sector, feature new entrants who are redefining elements of the market, whilst embracing the challenge and opportunities of the Brexit ‘environment’.

Over the years, the Masters has proved to be an invaluable development opportunity for some of the most talented and high potential leaders in the sector as they seek to broaden, stretch and grow their business acumen.
